Water & Wastewater Storage Tanks
Caustic Soda (NaOH) storage tank
A collection tank made of Polyethylene PE-100 is the perfect solution for wastewater applications in galvanic or any other industrial industry. In galvanic production, acidic and basic waste is generated, so plastic is the ideal solution.

The tanks can be made with a manhole and different nozzles, flanges, inlets and outlets. All PE 100 materials are supplied from AGRU.

Replacing metal containers with PE 100-RC containers storing caustic soda (NaOH) is perfect for wastewater applications. Caustic soda is used as a pH control agent in a wastewater treatment application. Because of the chemical resistance of PE 100-RC, the concentration of the solution can be increased from an initial 20 % to 50 %. This leads to a reduction in the operating costs of the treatment process.

The chemical and its application
Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH), also known as caustic soda, is a joint inorganic compound typically used as a strong chemical base. It is known to be very corrosive for metals. Caustic soda is used during water purification to regulate the pH value of water supplies.

The solution and its design
Due to the chemical resistance and good mechanical properties of PE 100-RC, it can store and transport caustic soda solutions. The use of PE 100-RC storage containers and pipelines is one of the most cost-effective variants that can offer a potential 10+ year of service life at ambient temperature.

All the tanks usually made to avoid the freezing point of a 50% solution of NaOH. Low temperatures, starting at +15 °C, can cause the crystallisation of caustic soda. The container's design fulfils the mechanical and chemical requirements.
Hydrochloric Acid Storage Tanks
Water treatment improves the quality of water to make it more acceptable for a specific end-use. For this treatment, special chemicals are needed.

One of them is hydrochloric acid with temperature: up to 40°C because of its chlorine content. Sheets of PE 100 black of AGRU are used for the fabrication of such chemical storage tanks.
Hydrochloric acid (HCl), wastewater storage tank
Tanks attacked by chemical media can be renovated with PP-H sheets or other material depending on the application. The renovations of tanks can be made of PP-H to withstand the strong influence of the present chemicals Hydrochloric acid (HCl), wastewater up to 60°C for a long time.
